PNP Programs

ALBERTA PNP

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), formerly the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program, is an economic immigration program that nominates people for permanent residence in Alberta. Nominees must have skills to fill job shortages or be planning to buy or start a business in Alberta.

Streams for workers

The AAIP has 3 streams for foreign workers who are living and working in Alberta, or plan to live and work here:

1. Alberta Opportunity Stream

2. Alberta Express Entry Stream

Qualified candidates with an Express Entry profile may be invited by AAIP to apply for nomination for permanent residence. Tech workers can qualify for expedited processing under the Accelerated Tech Pathway.

3. Rural Renewal Stream

Qualified candidates who have a job offer from an Alberta employer to work in a designated rural Alberta community can apply for an AAIP nomination.

Streams for entrepreneurs

The AAIP has 4 streams for entrepreneurs who plan to live in Alberta and buy or start a business in the province:

BCPNP

The BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is an economic immigration program administered by the Government of British Columbia’s Immigration Programs Branch.

The program enables the province to select and nominate foreign workers, international students and entrepreneurs to help meet B.C.’s labour market needs, support government priorities, and help grow B.C.’s economy. If you are nominated, you and your family can apply to IRCC to become a permanent resident of Canada. Streams are as followed :-

1. Skills Immigration

Skilled Worker: British Columbia’s growing economy needs skilled and experienced workers. The Skilled Worker category is a way for workers in a professional, management, technical, trade or other skilled occupation to gain permanent residence in B.C.

Health Authority:- The Health Authority category gives a permanent residence pathway to people working for a health authority in B.C. If you are a physician, midwife or a nurse practitioner, you may also be eligible to apply under the Health Authority category.

Entry Level and Semi-Skilled (ELSS):- The Entry Level and Semi-Skilled category is a way for workers in select occupations in the tourism/hospitality, long-haul trucking, food processing, or healthcare sectors to gain permanent residence in B.C.

International Graduate:- If you have completed a degree, diploma or certificate from an eligible post-secondary institution in Canada in the past three years. The International Graduate category may be an option to get permanent residence and stay in B.C

International Post-Graduate:- You must have graduated in the last three years with a master’s or doctorate degree in one of the eligible programs of natural, applied or health sciences disciplines: The International Post-Graduate category can help you gain permanent residence in B.C. You do not need a job offer to apply.

BC PNP Tech: – BC PNP Tech offers skilled workers in select, in-demand tech occupations a pathway to permanent residence. It helps B.C. tech employers recruit and retain international talent when local skilled workers are unavailable.

BC PNP Tech is not a separate category. It is a series of administrative measures that help skilled tech workers move more quickly and easily through the BC PNP process, including tech-only draws for invitations to apply and a concierge service for employers.

2. Entrepreneur Immigration:

The Entrepreneur Immigration stream of the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is a path to immigrate to Canada and settle in B.C. for experienced entrepreneurs who can support innovation and economic growth in the province.

Regional Pilot: British Columbia welcomes entrepreneurs from around the world to discover the many business opportunities across all regions of the province. Entrepreneurs can open a business in one of B.C.’s smaller communities and experience first-hand why many choose to live outside of a large urban center for their families.

Through the Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) Regional Pilot, the Province offers an immigration pathway for enterprising individuals who are looking to start a new business in a small community and make B.C. their new home.

The EI Regional Pilot was introduced in March 2019 and has been extended to March 31, 2024.

SINP

The Saskatchewan Occupations In-Demand sub-category is not aligned with the federal Express Entry system. Consequently, successful applicants can apply directly to the Canadian government for permanent resident status, and do not need to create an Express Entry profile, or receive an invitation to apply (ITA) in an Express Entry draw, in order to apply.

Saskatchewan considers high-skilled work experience to be any work experience obtained at National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Level 0, A, or B.

Potential candidates may be outside Canada, or in Canada with legal status, and a job offer is not required.

Saskatchewan Occupations In-Demand sub-category operates with the SINP Expression of Interest (EOI) system. Similar to Express Entry, candidates must first submit an EOI which is ranked using a points system. Then, invitations are periodically issued to the highest ranked candidates.
